Pier 2 Roller Rink is a beloved waterfront skating destination located within Brooklyn Bridge Park, open seasonally from approximately March through November. Since opening in 2014, the rink has offered skaters of all ages — from toddlers to seasoned pros — a chance to roll beneath an overhead roof structure with stunning views of the Manhattan skyline and the East River.
The rink's plastic-based surface provides a smoother ride and softer landings than traditional concrete, and spans an impressive 180 ft x 75 ft (13,200 sq ft). Skate rentals (quad skates and rollerblades), toddler sizes, Skate Mates for beginners, and free wrist guards are all available on-site. The Roller Café provides snacks and refreshments during sessions.
Admission varies by session: certain weekday afternoon sessions are free, while weekend general admission runs approximately $8–$12. Skate rental is $8. Themed skate nights, kids' skate classes (ages 5–14, Thursdays), adult classes, adult roller hockey leagues, and birthday party packages are offered throughout the season. Group visits of up to 200 people can be arranged with advance booking; groups over 20 require a Brooklyn Bridge Park permit. Adults 18+ must complete an online waiver before skating.
