Mount Sinai West offers live virtual childbirth and newborn care classes for expectant parents in New York City, taught by certified childbirth educators in small, highly interactive group settings. Classes are open to Mount Sinai patients and the general public, including pregnant individuals and their support partners.
Available courses include Understanding Birth (Fast-Paced) (3.5 hours), Understanding Your Newborn and Parenting Guidance (3.5 hours, covering holding, burping, diapering, swaddling, and infant development from birth to six months), Understanding Breastfeeding (2 hours, led by a certified lactation consultant), and Comfort Measures During Childbirth (2 hours).
