Little Scholars Chelsea

Little Scholars Chelsea is a fully licensed daycare center located at 600 6th Avenue in the heart of Chelsea, Manhattan. Open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the center welcomes children from 3 months to 5 years old across its Infant, Toddler, Preschool, and Extended Care programs.

The Chelsea location is the only Manhattan outpost of the Little Scholars network, which was co-founded in 2013 by Nick Kats and Mariana Korsunsky with a mission to make affordable, high-quality childcare accessible to New York City families. The curriculum draws on the Creative Curriculum and High/Scope educational models, with a whole-child, play-based philosophy targeting social-emotional, cognitive, physical, language, and creative development.

Group sizes are intentionally kept small to ensure individualized attention and nurturing care from experienced teachers. The center is licensed and regulated by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH). Tuition rates are not publicly listed — families are encouraged to contact the center or schedule a tour to learn more. ACS/HRA vouchers are accepted at select Little Scholars locations.
