Queens Botanical Garden offers seasonal, hands-on gardening and nature programs for children ages 2 to 14 in the heart of Flushing, Queens. From seed to table, young gardeners grow vegetables, create art and recipes, explore nature, and make lasting friendships in an almost entirely outdoor setting.
The Garden Buds program (ages 2–3) is a caregiver-accompanied toddler class where little ones get dirty, eat fresh produce, and craft. The Children's Garden (ages 4–10) runs as a drop-off summer day camp packed with science explorations and hands-on gardening. Teen programs are also available for ages 10–14. Registration is required for most programs, and some classes require a semester-long commitment.
General garden admission is $6 for adults and $2 for children ages 4–12. Admission is free on Wednesdays from 3–6pm and Sundays from 9–11am, and free to all visitors from December 16 through March. Need-based scholarships are available on a sliding scale for kids programs.
