The New York Hall of Science (NYSCI) is New York City's only hands-on science and technology center, originally built as a pavilion for the 1964–65 World's Fair and now one of the few remaining structures from that era in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. With more than 450 interactive exhibits covering biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering, NYSCI offers something for every age — from infants to teens and beyond.

Youngest visitors will love the Preschool Place, a dedicated multi-sensory exploration area for children 6 and under featuring a shadow and light area, train table, tinkering activities, and a safe infant space — included with general admission. The award-winning Science Playground, a 60,000-square-foot outdoor space with slides, seesaws, water play, and hands-on exhibits, is available for a small add-on fee. The Design Lab invites children ages 2–15 to explore design, engineering, and collaboration across four classrooms. Rocket Park Mini Golf brings physics to life through a nine-hole course exploring propulsion, gravity, and escape velocity (recommended ages 6+).

General admission is free every Friday from 2–5pm (suspended July–August). NYSCI also offers live Explainer demonstrations, a 3D Theater, a café, gift shop, on-site parking, and programs designed for sensory-sensitive children. The museum is just blocks from the 7 train and served by multiple bus lines.
