Flushing Meadows-Corona Park
Stroller-friendlyIndoor

Queens Theatre is a premier performing arts venue located inside Flushing Meadows Corona Park, originally built as the Theaterama for the 1964 New York World's Fair and designed by architect Philip Johnson. Today it presents more than 200 performances a year across three spaces: a 472-seat Mainstage (Claire Shulman Theater), a 90-seat Studio Theatre, and a 70-seat Cabaret.

Families with children ages 4 and up will find plenty to love here. The dedicated Family Series brings professional theater, dance, and musical productions at kid-friendly ticket prices. The annual Classical Kids Fair — co-presented with WQXR and free to attend — introduces children ages 4–10 to classical music through live performances, an instrument petting zoo, dance and composition workshops, and arts and crafts. Rock and Roll Playhouse family concerts and sensory-friendly inclusive programming round out the offering.

Queens Theatre's mission centers on making quality performing arts economically and geographically accessible to the 2.2 million residents of Queens, the most ethnically diverse county in the nation. The venue is wheelchair accessible, features an Assistive Listening System, offers free on-site parking, and is reachable by subway and bus — making it a genuinely family-friendly destination in the heart of the borough.
