Lenox Hill Hospital, part of the Northwell Health system, is one of Manhattan's premier destination hospitals for childbirth, delivering approximately 4,500 babies per year in the Florence Selwyn Klopfer Family-Centered Maternity Care Unit. Located on the Upper East Side, the hospital offers 12 modern labor and delivery rooms, three mother/baby postpartum units, a well baby nursery, and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). All labor and postpartum rooms are private, with executive postpartum suites available upon request for an additional charge.
The hospital's Center for Family Education is a valuable resource for expectant and new parents, offering in-person classes including a Car Seat Safety class (approximately 60 minutes, open to the public), as well as a "Basics of Car Seat Safety" video and referrals to Department of Transportation (DOT) car seat check events. Additional family support services include postnatal depression screening before discharge, after-discharge check-ins, and access to an OB Nurse Navigator. Bella Baby photography is also available. Parking at Lenox Hill is valet only.
