Birthsmarter is an award-winning, OBGYN-approved childbirth education program born in Brooklyn. Their nonjudgmental, inclusive curriculum blends the best of Lamaze, Hypnobirthing, and the Bradley Method to help expecting parents and their partners think critically and improvise — not just follow a script. Classes are built on three pillars: physiology, societal context, and personal circumstance.
In-person sessions run regularly in Greenpoint at Kuei Luck and at their dedicated Manhattan classroom, The Loft at 5 West 30th St. Formats include a one-day intensive (~6.5 hours, $415 for two), a weekend series, single-topic classes covering newborn care, lactation ($195 in-person for two), and infant CPR. Virtual and on-demand options are available. Private in-home sessions are offered across Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
One registration always covers two attendees — partners, co-parents, doulas, siblings, and grandparents are all welcome. Every class includes a custom workbook, weekly educator office hours, and access to a resources page. Pay-What-You-Can pricing is available for virtual and on-demand classes. All classes are HSA/FSA eligible.
