NewYork-Presbyterian Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns is a state-of-the-art facility exclusively dedicated to the care of pregnant patients and their newborns, located on floors 12–18 of the David H. Koch Center at 1283 York Avenue on the Upper East Side. The 246,500-square-foot hospital accommodates more than 7,500 births per year, with all private, single-bedded antepartum and postpartum rooms.
The facility offers a full range of obstetric and newborn services, including high-risk pregnancy care, labor support (including tubs for pain management and a doulas-welcome policy), and a 60-bed Level IV NICU — the first in NYC with a dedicated MRI and operating room within the NICU unit itself. The hospital is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with visiting hours from 7am to 9pm.
